Mercedes -Benz Group Show 1 and 2 Edit

Mercedes -Benz Group Show 1 and 2 Edit

What a huge fabulous week I have had at MBFF Brisbane. So much so, I needed to take the afternoon off yesterday and gather my thoughts. I am sad it is over for another year.

My favourite labels at the Mercedes-Benz Group Show 1 and 2  were Easton Pearson, Ginger and Smart, Ubermen, Urbanna and Jamu Australia. The dress on the left was my favourite piece from Easton Pearson and I loved the fabric, colour and cut of this Ginger and Smart Dress pictured right. There is also a matching top and skirt in the same fabric that is gorgeous as well. Ubermen and Urbanna both had so many great menswear pieces that I found it hard to pick my favourites, though I do like the suits from both labels and I love how Ubermen accessorised this grey suit with a floral print tie.

Jamu Australia was started by Lydia Leong, who after having a mastectomy wanted to provide women in all shape and sizes perfectly fitting swimwear that makes them feel confident and liberated. The label has since grown and Lydia’s ambition is to give those who survived the ordeal of breast cancer a range of mastectomy garments that give them back their sense of femininity. What a great story and a great label to follow and support.

My absolute favourite piece this week was the gorgeous muted lilac tone Toni Maticevski Dress that Jen Hawkins wore in the Myer Parade on opening night (see MBFF Myer Edit).

I have had a fabulous week. I always love to watch and commentate on Australian Fashion. MBFF Brisbane has put on a wonderful show for us all. Thank you for having me. Bring on the 11th year!!
