Interior Store Edit – Pampa

Interior Store Edit – Pampa

I have recently discovered Byron Bay based home wear web store, Pampa. The owners are both photographers with an excellent eye for the beautiful – one is from Argentina and the Australian. They source hand-woven llama and sheep wool rugs, floor pillows, and throws directly from the looms of independent artisans from rural communities in Argentina.

Pampa deals directly with their artisans to ensure fair payment and working conditions. This way the profits earned from each piece are used by the artisans and their families to cover day-to-day living costs such as buying food and clothing, paying school expenses, accessing medical care, and sourcing new tools and materials for weaving.

Pampa believes in a world of ethically made and fairly traded products. I support ethical trade as the work of these skilled artisans is showcased to the global community which puts money into the hands of communities that need it and in turn encourages new generations to learn the time-honoured craft. Its a win for the artisans and a win for those around the world who are able to purchase these beautiful pieces .

I love everything on the site but had to narrow it down and purchased the Puna Ilama throw in light brown. This will look beautiful on my cream couch in my lounge room. I also purchased the Monte Cushion. I will use this on my bed or it will look great anywhere in my house….

PS The photography on the website is amazing.
