Brisbane Arcade Group Show – MBFF – Edit

Brisbane Arcade Group Show – MBFF – Edit

Last night I attended the Brisbane Arcade Group Show at the John Reid Pavilion at the Brisbane RNA show grounds. I am really impressed with the venue MBFF Brisbane has selected this year. The catwalk is a large U shape with the seating on both the inside and outside of the stage. Plenty of great seats for a blogger to take good photos. The designers showcased last night were Pia du Pradal, Maiocchi, Irma J Smith House of Fashion, Tengdahl, Bora and Darb Couture.

For me,  local designer Julie Tengdahl stole the show. I loved the whole range and the printed  flowing silks, fringing and use of colour was pure boho luxe. I could definitely see myself in this gorgeous dress and the pink print pant and top.

The other stand out was Darb Couture. This 1950s style glamorous hollywood wedding dress was simply breathtaking and I am not normally one to gush over a wedding dress….

There was a spring racing carnival theme throughout the parade which was a combination of more structured pieces, muted tones and bright florals in keeping with current trends.

Cant wait for tomorrow evenings parades. Stay tuned
